Now with New York Fashion Week in the past i still cant seem to get over Public School Autumn/Winter 2012. Its very rare for me to fall in love with a whole collection because there's always that one look that throws me off but not with Public School... From the use of leather to the fucking awesome varsity jacket and even the floppy hats this collection is everything i preach to you guys here on TSM.
GANT goes back to Yale. In the 60's GANT ruled the campus of one of the most prestigious schools in all of America and now has returned with original styles and designs of the signature GANT oxford. Check out the six other different styles and a video of Yale Co-op here!
Hardware on a coat is very important, and Field Study did good. Five metal clasps instead of buttons is nothing short of amazing, Not to mention the slew of patch work and dark and olive green tones. A light coat is still acceptable even in Spring. Happy weekend.
This right here my friends is what denim dreams are made of. This bad ass denim jacket from UNIF is complete with studs, obscene patches and wear and tear... The back "Question Everything" patch is what got me sold on this unicorn of a jacket. All i need now is to be in a gang. You can pick it up at UNIF or Wasteland coming soon!
Shorts are something that i have a love hate relationship with, let me tell you why... Like lots of Americans i suffer from chicken leg syndrome. It breaks my heart to even talk publicly about and yet still no cure has been found, but i must not give up on shorts. The outfit above is i guess pretty relaxed, simple, stylish, and easy, centered around these awesome green Givenchy bermuda shorts from Riccardo's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Since the shorts are relaxed i thought they would go great paired up with a loose fitting plain off white tee from Levi's (remember im into that homeless, herion chic look)... And a parka from Loro Piana that is the perfect length to pair up with a pair of shorts.
For accessories we're sticking with easy and simple feel of the look and going with a pair of long green striped tube socks fromPaul Smith and pairing them with a classic white high top from Converse. A leather wrap bracelet from Maison Martin Margiela and a gold and black diamond cord bracelet from Luis Morias keeping you on 'trend' with the bracelet game thats spreading like wild fire in the menswear community. For the bag again keeping it simple with a canvas bag from Levi's Made & Crafted and a very hard gun metal framed Illesteva shade.
Part two of California Living is a three piece denim look and an old lowrider Schwinn from the 80's. Denim jacket by Levi's, Vest and denim skirt by American Apparel and bathing suit by H&M.
Orange: The color of a European sports car, the sun and well... an orange! Hard to match and to rhyme, this mysterious color isn't all that bad in my eyes! Im here to show you that you can wear the color orange with out being mistaken for a Lamborghini or Nemo the clown fish....
Recently came across theseMOVMTshoes at my local American Rag in Newport Beach and just fell in love. Ive been searching for the perfect mix between a hi-top and a desert boot for the longest time, so this was just the bees knees... These eco-friendly California made shoes are light weight and are perfect for Spring and Summer. Above are both made out of organic cotton and go by the name of Flanny. These get 10 golden stars.
